Consumers Optimistic About Economy & Housing Market

Good news on the housing news. According to RISMedia; the February Fannie Mae Housing survey show that 54% of respondents believe that it would be easier to get a mortgage today versus in the past.

"Continuing improvements in consumer attitudes in this month's National Housing Survey lend support to our expectation in 2015 will be a year of the economy dragging upward." Says Doug Duncan, SR VP  and chief economist at Fannie Mae.

The survey also found that average housing price change expectation will remain at 2.5 for the next 12 months as well as 52% of the respondents rent prices will increase in the next 12 months. Also 67% of the respondents say now is a good time to buy a home.
